    CATALOGUE

Perch presents a selection of masterfully crafted seats, both functional and sculptural, which explore the material, technical and conceptual framing of how our human bodies interact with objects and space, how we rest or lightly balance. We are asked to engage with all our senses, morphology and weight, and experience the chair, the comfort of its precisely ergonomic design, the embrace of its form, the smoothness of the bronze or the warmth of the carved wood, the memory of a honeyed dusk in the orchard, or simply the posture it incites us to formally hold or to relax in.

The array of making processes are eclectic; from hand built clay, NASA inspired engineering and CNC cut reclaimed timber to grown chairs. These distinct pieces form a captivating dialogue on the art of seating. Featured artists are: Full Grown, Fernando Laposse, John Makepeace OBE, Gareth Neal, Jim Partridge & Liz Walmsley, Aneta Regel, Julian Stair OBE and Nic Webb.
