The NetherlandsThe Gallery is proud to present a curated body of work celebrating "The Crafted Arts" for this year’s edition of TEFAF Maastricht. In an era defined by accelerating AI and digital production, this collection showcases contemporary pieces grounded in ancestral techniques yet firmly situated within the visual arts genre.
The display features major international artists, including Amy Usdin, Marc Fish, Ernst Gamperl and Ori Orisun Merhav. While distinct, their works collectively embody exceptional skill, the use of natural and experimental materials, and the importance of the haptic. Our vision is to challenge the traditional divide between "craft" and "fine art," positioning material intelligence as a balance between respect for historical skills and their relevance within contemporary arts.
Featured Artists: Amy Usdin, Marc Fish, Aneta Regel, Ernst Gamperl, Kaspar Hamacher, Nic Webb, Sukkeun Kang, Patrick Bongoy, Ori Orison Merhav, Teresa Hastings, Katrien Doms, Eleanor Lakelin, Ian Collings, Lin Fanglu, Wycliffe Stutchbury, Kate MccGwire & Diana Scherer.

We acknowledge this shift within TEFAF Maastricht and New York, where centuries of fine art, design, and rare objects converge. In this rarefied environment, craft is no longer peripheral; it stands at the epicenter of topical dialogue, revealing how hand-driven processes resonate across time and celebrate our humanness. In a fast-paced technological world, the handmade is no longer perceived as nostalgic but a vital, modern practice that our artists are actively redefining through material, memory, and the enduring intelligence of making.
