Description
Luke Fuller comments, “The tumultuous geological energy underneath our feet influences my work both aesthetically and structurally. The stress and tension in the clay of my pieces has been caused by applying pressure and force, in order to create cracks in the works' surfaces; this is similar to a fault in geology, which is a fracture in a volume of rock where compressional or tensional forces cause displacement. Sedimentary rocks are formed by the layering of matter, produced from erosion and the accumulation of fragments, building and compressing over time which eventually forms the rock strata.”
