We are delighted to release the 4th edition of our series of publications, a companion to our exhibition for acclaimed experimental ceramicist Aneta Regel: 'Memory Landscape', opening on the 28th of April running until the 10th of June.

The catalogue includes a brilliant essay from Art Historian and Researcher Tanya Harrod and an interivew between Aneta Regel and Sarah Myerscough, as well as a selection of the works and sources from the artist.

The show features Aneta Regel's newest collection of abstract ceramic sculptures which express themes of metamorphosis, conflict and change. The artist-as-alchemist combines stoneware and porcelain clays with volcanic rock to create a composite of embattled existence; multiple layers of the same elements in different states are repeatedly dried and re-fired, pushing the materials to their limits in the kiln, testing their malleability and density, strengths and weaknesses. Aneta comments that this process ‘emphasises the materials’ capacity to be modified, which perhaps equates to not only our own ontology but also to the way we interact with objects and one another.’
