Raw Edges | FOG 2025
-
Sarah Myerscough Gallery is excited to be participating at FOG Design+Art 2025 with our curated exhibition, 'Raw Edges'.An edge reveals a material transition, a point of tension and transformation marked by cuts, folds, or fissures. It is both boundary and threshold, where raw-hewn surfaces meet refined craftsmanship, dissolving surface into its surroundings. Here, the material asserts itself—its grain, texture, and inner life exposed—while simultaneously bearing the imprint of the artist’s intervention. The edge becomes a frame of convergence, a site for the natural and the intentional to coalesce in sculptural contiguity.“The edge, like the work itself, must contend with imperfection—it is a space where the natural irregularities of the material are resolved or celebrated, and where the workmanship is either proven or betrayed.” - David Pye (The Nature and Art of Workmanship, 1968)Featured artists:Arko, Katrien Doms, Marc Fish, Luke Fuller, Full Grown, Teresa Hastings, Kenji Honma, Ernst Gamperl, Christopher Kurtz, Eleanor Lakelin, John Makepeace OBE, Peter Marigold, Adi Toch, Gareth Neal, Frances Pinnock, Marc Ricourt, Julian Watts, Nic Webb and George William Bell.
