Description
This circular seat is coiled and thrown by hand and is built up through six elements: 2x slabs and 4x coils, two separate forms are assembled at the appropriate time when the clay is “leather hard”. This piece is made from a natural stoneware clay, known as Sedgley Blue, a famous brick clay. The Seat has undergone two firings : bisque and a then a black vitreous slip has been applied before the second firing.
