  • Sales Specialist

    Job description


    An internationally renowned Mayfair gallery is seeking a dynamic and entrepreneurial sales person to join our team and grow in the role. Working closely with senior leadership, the successful candidate will drive sales, cultivate new business opportunities, strengthen long-term client relationships, and represent the gallery at international art fairs and events.


    Key Responsibilities:

    - Gallery Ambassador: Host clients, represent the gallery at art fairs and events, and support new business

    development through outreach and presentations to generate sales.

    - Sales Strategy: Maintain a highly proactive and entrepreneurial approach to sales, and develop creative

    sales strategies in collaboration with Directors.

    - Administration: Manage proposals, quotations, invoices, formal quotes, and client documentation.

    - Sales Coordination: Coordinate pre- and post-sales administration, including AML compliance.

    - Metrics & Tracking: Monitor sales metrics, track follow-ups, and monitor sales progress.

    - Project Management: Take responsibility for independent sales projects and custom commissions, while

    also supporting Directors on major projects.


    Essential Skills & Requirements:

    - Naturally affable and confident personality, adaptable to different situations.

    - Minimum 3–4 years of relevant experience in Contemporary Art or Collectible Design.

    - Experience working with interior designers on complex furniture and lighting commissions is desirable.

    - Strong administrative, organisational, and client relationship skills.

    - Excellent written and verbal communication skills to engage with clients, artists, and stakeholders.

    - Proficiency in IT skills; experience with InDesign, Keynote, ArtLogic, Arcarta, and Asana is desirable.

    - Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment.

    - Ability to provide out-of-hours support and travel for exhibitions, art fairs, and gallery events as required.


    Role Details:

    - Type: Full-time

    - Hours: Monday–Friday, occasional weekends

    - Salary: £45,000+ (based on experience) plus commission
