Sarah Myerscough and David Gates took part in the jury panel for the Penland Fellowship 2015, hosted at the Crafts Council in December 2014. The Penland Fellowship 2015 is open to UK based artists/makers working in wood; it offers a two-week course of study at Penland School of Craft in North Carolina, USA. The award, the first of its kind in a series of material-specific fellowships, was given to Beatrix Baker, a recent graduate from Falmouth University where she was awarded best achievement in Contemporary Crafts at BA level and has since held numerous exhibitions in the UK.
We are delighted to announce that Michael Peterson has recently been awarded the Washington State 2014 Artist Trust Fellowship. The artist received a $7,500 grant from the Artist Trust, acknowledging his outstanding artistic achievement and great dedication to his discipline with the aim to contribute to his professional development.
