Description
Carved from unusually thick sycamore slabs, the Slab Coffee Table possesses an almost geologic weight and presence. Its form is spare: a small number of large elements stacked with quiet certainty. There is very little excess. The piece feels old, settled, and patient. Its low profile anchors the landscape of BADLANDS, offering a counterpoint to the vertical cairns and markers surrounding it. The fewer decisions visible on its surface, the more the material itself comes forward.1
