The Sterry Chair by Full Grown is named after Dr Melissa Sterry, a close friend and founder of Design for Wildfire, whose practice proposes a radical reframing: that fire, long cast as nature's destroyer, is more honestly understood as nature's architect: a force of cyclic renewal that liberates nutrients, opens canopy, and ignites new growth. Full Grown have spent more than two decades working with nature rather than against it, surrendering control to biological process and seasonal rhythm. Sterry's paradigm adds to this and asks to receive wildfire not as catastrophe to be managed, but as elemental collaborator, a designer in its own right.Join our mailing list
