Description
The three “Forest Nests” from Aude Franjou’s recent body of work, centered on the idea of renewal.T hese nests evoke a return to life, serving as metaphors for fertility and the resurgence of spring. This sense of rebirth is conveyed both through the organic, enveloping forms of the sculptures and through the subtle gradations of green that animate their surfaces. The almost acidic green tones draw inspiration from lichens, mosses, and the first shoots of vegetation that reappear in early spring. These colour studies originate in the artist’s walks through the forests of the Paris region, where careful observation of seasonal transformation informs her sculptural language.Join our mailing list
