In all nations and cultures the notion of renewal and seasonal changes have been central sources of inspiration and expressed, over the centuries, through ritual, art and literature. In this technological age, city dwellers are very much disconnected from the earth’s natural cycles. As we approach the Vernal Equinox, perhaps it is worth reacquainting ourselves with such elemental forces particularly when climate change is a serious issue in contemporary society.

This exhibition asks invited artists to explore the passage of time when the rejuvenation of nature begins, from the luxuriance of landscape to the fragility of new life.
