Maisie Broadhead

Sarah Myerscough Fine Art is delighted to be exhibiting new work by Maisie Broadhead. Maisie will continue the her series Jewellery Depicted, and will also develop this series in a new direction. Maisie's friends and family come together to help parody old Masters paintings, using highly detailed costume and sets. These photographs, which are essentially transcriptions, are characterised by intellingence and humour, rich textural detail, high execution and the mix of the contemporary object with the historical image.
